The Great Ocean Road

Pretty pretty pretty! The Great Ocean Road is a coastal sweep of a portion of the south coast of Australia leading out to the twelve apostles (rock formations- not actual apostles.)

We took our time with it, stopped where we felt like it, stalked koalas and took lots of pictures. I think the highlight of it- besides the beauty, of course- was the three British women who frantically waved down our car to prevent us from running over a koala in the road. Because we wouldn’t have seen it? Then they shushed us and made snide remarks about how loud we were being. Except we weren’t loud and the koala certainly didn’t care- how many tourists do you think it sees every day? I wagered a guess that it was pretty well habituated- and was proven right when it walked right up to one of the women, looked at her, and then walked right past (however much JR was hoping it would climb/maul her).
